To Join

The North Coast Artists' Guild (NCAG) was formed in 1991 as an affiliate of Gualala Arts to better serve working artists in the Mendocino and Sonoma (Mendonoma) coastal communities, from as far south as the Russian River to as far north as Little River. The NCAG supports local artists through exhibits, studio tours, networking, community involvement, education, portfolio reviews, marketing and publicity.

Benefits

Social

Members have the opportunity to participate in many Guild-sponsored events such as exhibits, studio tours, classes, peer critiques, art film screenings and the Annual Member’s Meeting potluck and election of officers. Every activity and event is coordinated and promoted by NCAG volunteers. There are lots of opportunities to get involved!

Promotion

All member artists are listed on the Guild's website by medium, with a link to their personal website or their Studio Discovery Tour webpage

The Guild also organizes and promotes an annual tour of our members' studios. In addition to promoting the tour by distributing 15,000 full-color catalogs, the Guild sponsors a pre-tour show at the Discovery Gallery in Gualala during the months of July and August. The Guild promotes all shows and events via social media, marketing emails, flyers and various print and online publications.

Recognition

The Guild sponsors several awards at its two major shows, Art in the Redwoods and the Gualala Salon and Salon des Refusés to recognize artistic excellence.

Classes

Take a class or join an interest group. Classes and workshops are held at the Gualala Arts Center, an active community arts organization with a beautiful 15,000 square foot facility located in a grove of redwoods.

Information

Members receive emails on upcoming events, calls for artists and exhibit notices, volunteer opportunities and all NCAG activities. In addition, the Guild maintains a list-serve that provides members with an opportunity to network, exchange information and ideas, announce art events, and report on any art-related activity.
