First Hand Art

There is a pop up gallery in Cypress Village this summer at the KV Sandidge Fine Art studio, across the patio from the 4Eyed Frog Bookstore.

What is different about this? An artists' group is calling themselves ìFirst Hand Artî will be producing unique art shows all summer at Kathleen Sandidgeís studio. Following weekend shows will feature one to three of the following: Barry Semegran, Jim Tackett and Roy Austinís different styles of woodworking; Mary Austin and Carol Tackettís unique art quilts; Gerda Randolphís basketry and needle felting; Jennie Hendersonís popular weaving; Bea Curran and Doric Jemison-Ballís unusual ceramics; and of course Kathleen Sandidge herself, who uses the studio as her working studio for oil painting most weekdays.

Artist's Collective in Elk

The Artist's Collective is a wonderful gallery in the town of Elk, CA between Queenies Restaurant and the Elk Post Office, east side of Hwy1. Several NCAG members show their art there: Kathy Edelbrock, Tom Eckles, Jenny Henderson, Jim Vickery and Bruce Jones. The Gallery has 15 artists now and is inviting more artists to participate.
